Third period: Third class

This is my last class !!!


Hello everyone!

This time I taught my class about passive voice with modals again. The warm up was about past participles, so I prepared a Bingo game. I made a chart containing many past participle verbs, and students had to copy twenty four verbs in the sheet of paper that I gave  them. For this activity I stablished ten minutes, but I need more time, so I implemented a plan B to finish the activity. It was logical that each student had to crosses off all the verbs, but I let them finished One line for scream BINGO!

Moreover, they worked in the book, but all the class was about listening. Firt, I made an introduccion about owing a pet. I gave them some pieces of paper to work in a speaking activity. I asked them to work in pairs, then they shared their answers with the class. Besides that, they listen a conversation two times, so I asked them four questions to check comprehension. 

Afterward, I presented new vocabulary (adjectives). I played the cd player for them to listen it two times, then I gave them three minutes to study the vocabulary. Finally, I played the last listening during this activity students had to activate the vocabuly to fill a chart. They  listen four conversations, so had they filled the chart with the rigth information. Then, they wrote advantages and disadvantages using the previous vocabulary. To finish the class they shared the information with the class.

I said good bye to my students, thanked and acknowledged for their collaboration and participation.


                                          

Third Period: Second class

Hello classmates!

This class I taught my class about passive voice with modals. I prepared the warm up related with past participles verbs, so I brought a board game; It contained different questions. The structure used in the game was the present perfect.

Thereafter, I gave the presentation of the topic. Students read a story about smart animals. To develop this activity I did a jiwsaw reading. I split the class forming four homegroups, and then I asked them to move to their color groups. They read and took notes about the reading, then they came back to their home groups to explain the part of the reading they got. 

                                                     
After that, I gave them some questions related with the reading, then they shared their opinions with the whole class. Furthermore, I prepared a chart explaning the grammar notes. I tried to explain step by step. 
Actually the topic was kind of easy for them, but they had difficulties transforming questions. They could do it in active voice, but forming the passive voice was the problem. 
I didn´t have enough time to make the practice, so I asked students to create their own examples to share them with the class.  




Third period: First class

Hello everyone this is our last peiod doing teaching pratice.

This time I gave my class with Advanced English I. One day before the teacher prepared an agenda for me in order to develop certain activities. It was kind of difficult to follow the agenda as the teacher told me because I didn´t know if the activies were going to be appropiate. 

To star the class I prepared some papers wich contained X and 0  each students picked up a piece of paper, but the students who got the X would pass to the front to develop the warm up. I gave the students some words, so had they to find their synonym and paste them on the board. They had some difficulties because they didn´t know the words. At the end they asked for help to conclude the activity. Besides that, I prepared a chart to explain negative prefixes. I gave a definition and many examples to the class. 

Thereafter, I asked students to work in the book. Had they read new vocabulary, but this time they had to use the dictionary. Here I had a difficulty because they did´t have one, so I let them use their cellphones to complete this activity. Here we can observe the advantages that technology provides. 

To finish the class I prepared a speaking activity. They activated the vocabulary that were study during the class. They prepared short conversations, and I gave them one example to model the conversation. They performed the activity perfectly because the wholw group enjoyed speaking activities.
