Third class

Hello classmates

This is my last class in the firs period.
I continued with the same topic which is the present perfect. In this class I made a warm up in which students had to practice the simple past and the present perfect. I gave some pieces of paper in which they had to write five sentences using the simple past, then I asked them to interchanged the papers with a classmate. When all students had interchanged the papers, they had to transform the five sentences into present prefect. At the end of the activity, I asked some volunters to share two sentences on the board.

Then I asked students to stand up because they were going to practice a short conversation. First I read the conversation, then they read the conversation. I tried to make students to participate with different classmates.






To end the class, I brought a song:

I wanted to have a different class and some fun with my students, unfortunately the song didnot sound. The USB got damage. I had to changed the activity. I gave the song´s lyric, I read the lyric, then I invited students to read the lyric after that, I  asked students to fill in the gaps with the correct form o f the verb. Finally, we checked the gaps. I enjoy teching with English acces.


Second class

Hello everyone, in my second class I  continued with the same topic the  Present perfect tense.
To introduce the topic I made the warm up, in which students formed two groups, and, they had to make two lines infront of the board. I asked to write words formed by four letters, but they had 10 second to write each word. When students started to write the words, they felt really nervous because they hadn´t enough time to think; some students wrote words with more than fours letters. At the end of the activity there was a winner. I think they enjoyed the activity. 

To continue with the class I explained the present present with a chart and some examples. After that, I wrote enough examples on the board, and then I asked them to write more examples using the present perfect. 

Moreover, I gave them some extra practice to write some sentences using the present perfect and the simple past. The objective of the class was that students could differenciate between simple past and present perfect. 

To end with the class, I checked the exercises. The majoity of the class could solve the practice.

First Class

My first class  


Hello everyone, this period I will be teaching with English Acces. I was nervous because I didn´t know how the studennts would react. The first class was not good enough. The topic that I developed was Too and enough. Let me tell you that  I looked for information to make a good job, but I missed some details about it. I introduced my self, but I forgot to ask the students to introduce themselves; then I made the warm up in which students had to work in groups. They had to stand up  and create sentences using comparisons and superlatives. During the activity students had to rotate because I prepared three different stations. Those stations had different pictures (food, clothes, fruits, and so on).
After they wrote the sentences, each group of students chose a representative to read the sentences. I made a mistake because I didn´t make error correction :(

Then I started to work with the book; I explained the grammar notes, and I presented some examples. Unfortunately these examples wasn´t enough for them. Then they made some exercises. In my opinion they didn´t had problems solving this kind of topic. 
I gave them extra practice, and I observed that the majority of the class solved the exercises. 
After that, I gave then scrambled sentences to work in groups. All the groups could unscrambled the sentences. 
I enjoyed my first class, but I hope to do it better in my second class. I wish the best for you classmates.
