Third period: Third class

This is my last class !!!


Hello everyone!

This time I taught my class about passive voice with modals again. The warm up was about past participles, so I prepared a Bingo game. I made a chart containing many past participle verbs, and students had to copy twenty four verbs in the sheet of paper that I gave  them. For this activity I stablished ten minutes, but I need more time, so I implemented a plan B to finish the activity. It was logical that each student had to crosses off all the verbs, but I let them finished One line for scream BINGO!

Moreover, they worked in the book, but all the class was about listening. Firt, I made an introduccion about owing a pet. I gave them some pieces of paper to work in a speaking activity. I asked them to work in pairs, then they shared their answers with the class. Besides that, they listen a conversation two times, so I asked them four questions to check comprehension. 

Afterward, I presented new vocabulary (adjectives). I played the cd player for them to listen it two times, then I gave them three minutes to study the vocabulary. Finally, I played the last listening during this activity students had to activate the vocabuly to fill a chart. They  listen four conversations, so had they filled the chart with the rigth information. Then, they wrote advantages and disadvantages using the previous vocabulary. To finish the class they shared the information with the class.

I said good bye to my students, thanked and acknowledged for their collaboration and participation.


                                          

Third Period: Second class

Hello classmates!

This class I taught my class about passive voice with modals. I prepared the warm up related with past participles verbs, so I brought a board game; It contained different questions. The structure used in the game was the present perfect.

Thereafter, I gave the presentation of the topic. Students read a story about smart animals. To develop this activity I did a jiwsaw reading. I split the class forming four homegroups, and then I asked them to move to their color groups. They read and took notes about the reading, then they came back to their home groups to explain the part of the reading they got. 

                                                     
After that, I gave them some questions related with the reading, then they shared their opinions with the whole class. Furthermore, I prepared a chart explaning the grammar notes. I tried to explain step by step. 
Actually the topic was kind of easy for them, but they had difficulties transforming questions. They could do it in active voice, but forming the passive voice was the problem. 
I didn´t have enough time to make the practice, so I asked students to create their own examples to share them with the class.  




Third period: First class

Hello everyone this is our last peiod doing teaching pratice.

This time I gave my class with Advanced English I. One day before the teacher prepared an agenda for me in order to develop certain activities. It was kind of difficult to follow the agenda as the teacher told me because I didn´t know if the activies were going to be appropiate. 

To star the class I prepared some papers wich contained X and 0  each students picked up a piece of paper, but the students who got the X would pass to the front to develop the warm up. I gave the students some words, so had they to find their synonym and paste them on the board. They had some difficulties because they didn´t know the words. At the end they asked for help to conclude the activity. Besides that, I prepared a chart to explain negative prefixes. I gave a definition and many examples to the class. 

Thereafter, I asked students to work in the book. Had they read new vocabulary, but this time they had to use the dictionary. Here I had a difficulty because they did´t have one, so I let them use their cellphones to complete this activity. Here we can observe the advantages that technology provides. 

To finish the class I prepared a speaking activity. They activated the vocabulary that were study during the class. They prepared short conversations, and I gave them one example to model the conversation. They performed the activity perfectly because the wholw group enjoyed speaking activities.

Second period third class

Hello classmates

This is my last class of the second period. 
Today I had to teach about quantifiers, and I prepared a board game related with the topic. Let me tell you that I didn´t have dice, so I created some with an eraser.

The students were reaady to start the game,but one group had a dice in the cellphone. It was an application I really like very much. 

I made two groups for playing the board game I could observe they enjoyed the activity. After that, I started to work in the handout. First I explained about some quantifiers and finnaly they gave the answer. some exercises had two possible answers. 

They tried to gave reasons why they could use different quantifiers. I gave a chart with extra information for them to takes more notes. 

I think this group was nice because they make me feel as their english teacher. 

Second period second class

Hello everyone  

This time I tought a new unit its name was Looking good. To start the class I prepare some pictures of different people whos was from different cultures, and I asked students to stand up and visit the learning center that I created for the class. The started to talk about the pictures. each pictures had a short paragraph explaining the culture. 

After that, I asked students to select a picture the more interesting for them. They had to give the opinion of the picture to the whole class. 
After that, I asked students to describe the pictures using some new adjectives for them. 
Finally, they made a group work to discuss 3 questions about looking good. Then, they gave their opinions to the class.

I enjoyed the class because students gave their opinions about the different cultures. They also talked about tabus. They said they respect what people do with their bodies. 

Second perio 1 st class

Hello guys

The topic of the class was spending habits. To start the class I prepared a warm upin which students picked up some pieces of paper, which contained a questions about spending habits. They made a debate about thus topic.
After that, I made a listening activity. Fist, they observed a photo to infer the topic of the listening. They guess the topic of the activity, and then I played the listening for students to listen, but then had they to comment about it and answered soe questions to discuss in groups.
After some minutes students gave their opion to the whole class. I played the listening one more time for details. All students gave 3 tips for spending habits.
I made two groups and asked students to answer two questions. This time they had to provide reasons.
To end the class I made a vocabulary activity. I paste some words on the bord , and students had to find the correct meaning. All the class participated.
This group like to participate and this make me feel comfortable at the moment to teach.
